We're Pregnant! Again :-)

Tuesday - 1/13/09
This morning at home was bad and I was so nauseous that I threw up. Afterward I felt better and the morning sickness throughout the day was much much better than yesterday. Still ate soup for lunch and dinner and didn't drink much. Was tired today, but not as bad as yesterday. Mama again took care of Emma tonight. She's so great and the best partner one could have.

We had another ultrasound today and baby #2 at 8 weeks 4 days is doing great. Heart rate of 175-177 bpm and as mama looked up later, baby's crown to rump length is ~19mm and above average for this point in the pregnancy. Emma was only 20mm at 9 weeks 4 days. We're afraid we're going to have a baby bigger than Emma if this keeps up. Average crown to rump length at this age is 16 mm.

Were were so surprised when the US technician started taking these 3D images. She said she had some extra time and could do them for us, it was so nice, because we never got these 3D images of Emma.

Monday - 1/12/09
Today was the worst morning sickness I ever felt. I was fine in the morning and ate my usual breakfast, but towards 10 am I was feeling pretty bad. Mama brought me some Sprite to help. For lunch I couldn't eat or drink much and felt so ill that I almost asked mama to take me home from work. About 30 minutes after eating some potato soup for lunch I felt better. Then it hit me again in the later afternoon. I was so tired today. Mama was great and took care of Emma when we got home.

Monday - 12/29/08
We had our first ultrasound today. The baby at 6 weeks and 3 days has a nice strong heart rate of 113 bpm and everything looks great.

Friday - 12/11/08
This morning was my due date for my period and I had a feeling, so I told mama we should go get a pregnancy test. We stopped by Target on the way into work. A few hours after we got in to work we both went to the restroom, so I could use the test. We then took it to mama's office to wait for the reading and unfortunately when we arrived at her office a co-worker of hers stopped us and started talking to her about something. I went into her office to wait and wait and wait...after about 10 minutes I couldn't wait any longer and had to glance at the test. I almost couldn't contain myself. About 5 minutes later the co-worker left and I had a big smile for mama and showed her the results. We were so happy and excited.

Tuesday - 12/9/08
I felt like my period was coming, so I let mama know that I might be getting my period and I was sad.

Friday - 11/28/08
Today we had our 4th IUI. How lucky we are that our clinic will call staff in and be available any day you need them even on the holidays. I'm hoping this one is successful, because if it isn't we're probably going to have to try Clomid.

We took the day off and in the morning went to Emma's halloween parade and party. Then we went out to lunch and saw a movie in the theater! It's been a while since we went to the movies (we do netflix now). We saw the Changeling and thought Angelina Jolie did a great job. I had never heard of the Wineville incident (I'm being vague so I don't give any spoilers away) and googled it when we got home. After watching the movie, we just had to get Emma early from school.

We started carving the pumpkins shortly after getting home and Emma did her best to help.
